A Dark Evolution of the Franchise
Directed by Nia DaCosta, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple expands upon the brutal world audiences know—while dramatically turning it on its head. The film continues the epic narrative with unsettling new layers, shifting the focus from infected hordes to the terrifying moral collapse of humanity itself.
At the center of the story is Dr. Kelson (played by Ralph Fiennes), who enters a shocking new relationship that threatens to alter the balance of the world forever. Meanwhile, Spike’s (Alfie Williams) encounter with Jimmy Crystal (Jack O’Connell) spirals into a relentless nightmare from which escape seems impossible.
In The Bone Temple, survival is no longer defined solely by avoiding the infected. Instead, the film explores how human inhumanity becomes the most dangerous force of all, presenting a chilling vision where survivors may be more frightening than the apocalypse itself.
A Cinematic Moment
The atmosphere at the BFI IMAX reflected the film’s intensity—charged with anticipation and excitement as cast, filmmakers, and invited guests gathered to celebrate one of the most daring evolutions of the franchise to date.
28 Years Later: The Bone Temple is now showing in cinemas, delivering a powerful, disturbing, and thought-provoking experience that pushes the boundaries of post-apocalyptic storytelling,
