Held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills California, the Golden Globe Awards are every year, the first major film awards to be given out. And the nominees, and winners, are sure to be BAFTA and Oscar-nominated. Stars such as Brad Pitt (Best Supporting Actor winner for Once Upon a Time…..in Hollywood), his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Lopez with her fiance Alex Rodriguez, Nicole Kidman, Elton John, the list is endless, attended the glittering evening. Awards are given out in both film and television categories – so there is extra star-wattage. There were no real surprise winners, but we can assure you that even the losers had a great time. Having the best time seemed to be host Ricky Gervais who again hosted the show with his usual banter of controversial, and at times inappropriate, jokes.
