About the “Diver Explosion”
The collaboration between painter Anastasia Belous and digital artist and photographer T-Mo Bauer was born in 2015. The main influence for which is to find the novelty on the crossroads of the traditional oil painting and digital art.
The work starts with Anastasia meticulously executing the human form in an old traditional media of oil or charcoal. When the work is done it is passed onto T-mo – a former Wall Street mercenary visionaire-extraordinaire, who in his turn digitally manipulates the original image to create unusual contemporary combinations to be printed in limited editions on coolest materials. The collaboration between the “old and the new” exists as to prove once again that art is not “what” but is “how”.
