Six Ukrainian brands explored color, identity and contemporary femininity in RUNWAY IN BLOOM, presented on October 3 at Sofitel Paris.
What does it mean to bloom? For UFD Runway, the answer unfolded through a wardrobe of vivid colors, fluid silhouettes and contrasting attitudes. Presented at Sofitel Paris near Place de la Concorde, the Spring/Summer 2027 showcase brought together Ukrainian brands EPPS, Freya Varradis, TATTOO, Aysina, Gritsfeldt and VALA under the title RUNWAY IN BLOOM.
The theme offered room for both exuberance and restraint. Across the runway. femininity appeared in multiple forms: assured and understated, sensual and romantic, playful and expressive. Each designer approached the season through a distinct aesthetic, creating a conversation about the ways clothing can reveal personality.
Color set the mood. Sunlit yellow, turquoise, coral and pink brought warmth and energy, while white and natural tones introduced moments of calm. Fluid fabrics contrasted with sculptural shapes; bare shoulders and defined waists drew attention to the body, while embroidery and textured surfaces invited a closer look.
Within this shared seasonal vocabulary, the collections retained their individual character.

EPPS, embraced the expressive possibilities of print and color. Flowing dresses and vibrant combinations suggested a summer wardrobe shaped by movement. spontaneity and the pleasure of being noticed.
At Freya Vanadis, the emphasis shifted toward precision. Clean lines and considered proportions offered a composed interpretation of femininity, with an understated confidence rooted in the cut of the clothes.
Aysina explored softness and sensuality through open shoulders, accentuated waists and generous volumes. Luminous color heightened the collection’s celebration of the body and the enjoyment of dressing.
Texture and ease informed Gritsfeldt’s contribution. Pieces with a distinct visual character maintained the relaxed spirit of summer, balancing expression with freedom of movement.

VALA brought a romantic perspective, using silhouette, detail and movement to create a graceful vision of contemporary dressing.
The menswear collection from TATTOOYOUYOU broadened the showcase’s exploration of identity. Relaxed tailoring, exposed skin and visible tattoos introduced a different visual rhythm, connecting the season’s theme to a wider freedom of self-expression.

Together, these perspectives gave RUNWAY IN BLOOM its substance. The floral reference became a way to consider individuality: how it develops, how it becomes visible and how it can change over time.
That idea also shaped the showcase’s vision of women. Different ages, bodies and temperaments belonged within the same story, with space for both quiet presence and theatrical expression. Clothing offered the possibility of exploring those different moods without settling into a fixed image.

For the participating Ukrainian designers, Paris provided a setting in which to present these distinct creative identities together. Their work moved between minimalism and embellishment, structure and softness, showing the range of approaches within the group.
UFD Runway’s Spring/Summer 2027 message was ultimately one of personal freedom. To bloom could mean embracing color choosing simplicity, revealing the body or experimenting with volume. The choice belonged to the wearer.
