AGRO STUDIO has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2027 collection, titled Glass Body SS27, featuring corsets embellished with antique and discarded glass buttons collected from around the world.
The collection explores the transformation of historical materials into contemporary fashion. Over several weeks, the studio worked with embroidery specialist Rosie to develop techniques for encrusting corsets with glass dating back 100 years, creating what the team describes as “glass chainmail.”
The intricate embroidery work brings together discarded materials and experimental craftsmanship, giving the corsets a distinctive textured finish while connecting the designs to the history of glass buttons.
The creative direction for the project was led by Geox and Anguxx, with creative production by WFB Live and technical production by AWC Studio. Music was provided by William Bowerman featuring MNEK, while Luke Jefferson Day handled styling.
Rosie Brain led the embroidery work, supported by the wider studio team and interns. Hair was styled by Adam Reed with L’Oréal Professionnel, and Andrew Gallimakeup led the key makeup team with Weleda UK. Troy Casting handled casting, with movement direction by Ethan Samuel Jacobs.
