Alliance Française Bangkok partnered with Business France presented a remarkable fashion event including a fashion show from Alliance’s fashion students and a digital showroom at the Alliance Française Bangkok.
The day started with the “French Fashion Corner” showroom where ten-niched French brands that have the potential to grow in Thailand and ASEAN were displayed. The showroom featured the newest collections from the brands under a variety of product ranges such as swimwear, eyewear, footwear, watches, and more.
These brands can be found in Parisian streets, concept stores in Paris and other major cities such as Lyon. But in this event, visitors had a chance to physically touch and discover the products while also speaking and discussing with brands’ representatives virtually via video calls in order to develop new business opportunities.
However, the main goal of this French Fashion Corner showcase is to show that France is not just about haute couture or high-end luxury brands. But there are also niche brands with prices ranging from casual up to luxury.
Moreover, in the evening on the same day, space turned into a runway for a special fashion show organized by the artistic activities department to showcase the creations of the Alliance’s fashion students. There were in total of 21 looks where three of them were awarded for the best creations.
After the student’s showcase, participants got a chance to watch another set of fashion shows that present a collection of accessories from the French brands followed by the three masterpieces from the renowned Thai brand, Tube Gallery. The event ended with a cocktail party at the Café Mademoiselle where participants had an opportunity to talk with the designers.
