    Future Front Row X FashionTex unite with 12 European Fashion Universities at Fabrique des Lumières Amsterdam to present the Future of Fashion

    ​​​Amsterdam witnessed the Future of Fashion

    The Amsterdam Fashion Academy, part of FashionTEX Europe, organised a groundbreaking vision of the future of fashion during Future Front Row X FashionTEX. This is the first holographic fashion show in history, featuring 12 fashion universities from across Europe. Hosted at Fabrique des Lumières in Amsterdam. The show brought together digital and physical fashion designs, avatars and immersive 3D printing to demonstrate how physical craftsmanship, digital innovation and sustainability merge seamlessly.

    Since 2024, FashionTEX initiative has brought together 24 European students and tens of lecturers. Of the 24 students, 3 were selected from the Amsterdam Fashion Academy to participate in the project. Experts from FashionTEX and Future Front Row supported the students. They experimented with new technologies and reimagined how fashion could be presented in a more innovative, sustainable and experiential way.

    Amsterdam-based Isabelle Udo, digital artist, founder of Future Front Row and lecturer at the Amsterdam Fashion Academy, created the holographic storytelling for the show. Isabelle Udo, says ‘’Future Front Row was born from a desire to make digital fashion more tangible: to experience a fashion show with pieces that defy the physical world. This edition brought the digital and the physical together in a way we’ve never seen before.’’

    The Amsterdam Fashion Academy organised and hosted the show in Amsterdam and brought to the FashionTEX project academic depth, Masterclasses Clo3D, and industry connections. Cristiano Carciani, Director of the Amsterdam Fashion Academy, ‘’This project reflects our Academy’s mission of preparing the next generation for a future that is already taking shape. Technology and craftsmanship are not opposites. They enhance each other, and the students demonstrated how digital tools can expand the boundaries of fashion.’’ 

    More than 400 guests, including industry leaders, digital creators, and alumni, witnessed the Future of Fashion. Kristina Szasz, Senior C-Level Executive across Luxury and Lifestyle. Advisory Board Member and a Global Jury Member says, ‘’The designs were almost floating on the runway in an ethereal and surreal way. It was magical to witness.’’
