London – APUJAN returned to London Fashion Week for Autumn/Winter 2026 with a cinematic digital catwalk titled “The Notebook of a Detective’s Assistant.” The film was screened with the British Fashion Council on 23 February at 180 The Strand.
Directed by Creative Director Apu Jan, the presentation marks a shift from last season’s fairytale theme into detective fiction, rational, restrained, and layered with subtle retro sci-fi tones. Inspired by classic mystery novels, the story follows an observer figure reminiscent of Dr. Watson, moving through imagined roles such as a photographer capturing ghosts and a tailor mending shadows. Garments act as narrative clues, blending fashion with cinematic storytelling.
The AW26 collection features a cool palette of black, grey, blue, and white, with structured tailoring softened by rose-shaped silhouettes. Technical outerwear developed with Taiwanese textile mills highlights the brand’s focus on innovation, while jacquard knits and asymmetric cuts reinterpret classic forms.
With a retro sci-fi soundtrack by long-time collaborator Ching Hung (DJ so lonely), APUJAN continues to place narrative at the heart of fashion—where clothing becomes the beginning of a story.
