Sarwat Bukhari A London based Pakistani designer graduated in Pharmaceutical Management degree and Fashion Designing. A passionate artist who believes in following her heart and working hard and sensibly to make her dreams come true.
“I believe you should do things because you love doing it, you need to be passionate enough to follow and never do things because you have to. I think most people stick to what they know from their upbringing in their career, but I really admire people who go in a completely different direction.”
The inspiration for this collection came from the mirror reflecting the image of a person.
” A friend who tells only the truth, always speaks yet not in words but in the reflection of the person who is standing in front!” We look at our reflection in a mirror, we see the true image… I look in the mirror, I do not see beauty. I see the honesty. The reflection shows my hard work and years of tears, years of stress but it dissolves into success…
The collection is representing the image of the culture and the Country I belong to.
Special thank you to Caroline Makaka for approaching me in the first place and giving me this opportunity. It is a proud moment for me to represent my Country, Culture that I originally belong to.
I think its important for all the communities to come together and support the positive image of every aspect. Ladies of all Nations is an amazing platform for the women initially to come forward and share their experiences about what they are doing for the community and how they manage their personal lives as they are very passionate about what they do. Ladies of all Nations is one organisation that I feel is very inspirational and can make a lot of difference in the community just like they are already doing.”
