Following the release of their debut album which saw the band gain widespread press, and radio coverage as well as playlist placements across DSPs, the upcoming EP ‘Disastro Spaghetti’ (Mar 15th) see’s the band once again showcases their unique alt-funk-rock soundscapes, this time leaning further into their energetic rock undertones.
The new single ‘Why The Rush’ is true to their style with flavours of classic rock, psychedelic rock, funk and indie-pop to create a strikingly unique sound. Packing swelling organs, biting guitar tones, swirling effects and melodic vocal lines, the track once again captures the euphoric tone that characterises the band’s style.
Describing themselves as “a secret society of Space-Caper solving time crime fighters”, AstroYeti’s unique blend of trippy island rock tinged spacefunk is perfectly matched with their out of this world image – a band of colourful miscreant universal explorers making joyous music with bags of energy and musical depth.
