Ephesus, known for its timeless artistry, stands as a symbol of resilience and elegance. Barrus captures this essence through designs that balance bold, sculptural forms with ethereal fabrics. Strong architectural shapes blend seamlessly with delicate textures, echoing the passage of time. Metallic embroidery, intricate beading, and layered fabrics reflect the weathered yet enduring beauty of Ephesus’ ruins, glowing under the golden hues of sunrise and sunset.
A Vision in Motion
Guests at the runway show witnessed a striking blend of structured column gowns, corseted waistlines, and asymmetrical one-shoulder drapes. Goddess-like silhouettes, textured marble-effect prints, and architectural pleating paid tribute to ancient craftsmanship, while flowing chiffon and layered tulle softened the aesthetic. The color palette—soft greens, golden yellows, twilight lilacs, and ivory—mirrored the natural beauty of Ephesus at dawn and dusk.
A Sensory Experience
Barrus’ commitment to luxury and sustainability was evident in the use of eco-conscious materials, including recycled fabrics, ethically sourced Bursa silk, delicate French lace, and feather-light tulle. Hand-beaded crystals sparkled like morning light on ancient stone, while silver-thread embroidery reflected the intricate mosaics of Ephesus.
Adding to the immersive experience, the collection was presented alongside ‘Nar-i Aşk’ by Mercan Dede featuring Adil Kaan, a mesmerizing soundscape blending traditional Turkish melodies with contemporary rhythms. The runway was transformed into an evocative setting with lighting that transitioned from warm orange to deep lilac, mimicking the changing skies over Ephesus.
Creative Collaboration & Exclusive Access
Barrus’ Autumn/Winter 2025 collection is elevated through collaborations with renowned stylist Irem Akalın and accessory designer Rahsan Valentine. The vision was further brought to life by Fashion Scout, with hair directed by Diego Miranda (BTS HAIR) and makeup by AOFM using Dermalogica. The production team, including photographer Chris Yates and videographer Mr. Poyraz Saroglu, ensured every moment was captured in cinematic detail.
