Today, multi-platinum singer-songwriter Bishop Briggs returns with two new emotionally-charged singles entitled “High Water” and “Art of Survival” via Sony RCA UK.

Writing both songs as an ode to her late sister Kate, Bishop notes: “I feel really grateful that I am here wide-eyed sharing new music with all of you. I can’t say that I knew if that was going to be possible for me after my sister Kate passed away in January of 2021. With all soulmates there is an unbreakable bond and energy that ties the relationship so closely that nothing can break it. Although I feel broken, I know our bond will surpass the concept of time and healing. “High Water” was written from the depths of my despair as a love letter to my best friend who I miss so dearly. Whereas “Art of Survival” is from a place of choosing to keep fighting to live fully and I firmly believe this is where she would hope to find me. I felt deeply I couldn’t release one without the other. So here, in my rawest form, I give you my soul on a platter. Thank you for being here.”

Lithely plucked guitar cuts through the tides of airy production on “High Water. Her voice barely breaks a whisper on the verses before it climaxes on an earthquaking chorus uplifted by her stunning range. The accompanying visual, directed by Tim Mattia [Twenty One Pilots, The Killers, Halsey], centers on a closeup of Bishop as she sings to the camera and wears the piercing emotion of each ebb and flow perfectly matching the spirit of the track. On “Art of Survival”, she carefully bares her teeth in this powerful track where the beat cracks beneath breathy vocals before another unshakable chorus.
