Winter, 20 January to 04 February

Did you know that happiness is a skill that can be learnt? Neuroscience has uncovered a whole range of practical techniques that can boost your happiness right now – and it doesn’t involve winning the lottery!

London’s new Museum of Happiness in Camden is hosting a 2-week Winter Happiness Festival where you can discover them in fun and playful ways. So what’s in store? Insightful and inspiring talks where world-renowned workshop leaders share the secrets to happiness, the world’s first pop up ‘Guilt-Free Chocolate Café’, an exciting adult ball pit with 30,000 pure white balls, laughter yoga, gratitude bingo, live music and much more.

The Winter Happiness Festival aims to encourage community, connection and play, while sharing the secrets of long-lasting happiness. However, there’s an even bigger issue at its heart. While a new year brings hope, with it often comes anxiety – one of the biggest causes of mental distress and depression.

Museum of Happiness co-founder and best-selling author Shamash Alidina, explains: “Winter can be a particularly depressing time in London. We want to offer a space for people to meet with other friendly Londoners, learn tricks to a more positive outlook in life, savour the moment and have a bit of fun along the way. And who knows, you may just find yourself feeling a bit more upbeat too!”

Tickets cost from a wallet-friendly £5 and will become available on Blue Monday (15th January), said to be the saddest day of the year. The Winter Happiness Festival starts on 20 January and runs for two weeks until 04 February.
