‘Bronco Billy the Musical,’ now playing at Charing Cross Theatre, is the story of a group of wayward entertainers eking out a living while keeping their dreams of stardom alive. It’s also the story of poor little rich girl Anoinette who somehow ends up as one of the troupe.

You see Antoinette Lily (Emily Benjamin) is very rich only because her father – Mr. Lily – was the owner of the company that produces Americas favourite chocolate bar. He has died and left everything to her – however there is a hitch. Antoinette’s stepmother Constance Lily (Victoria Hamilton Barrett) wants it all, and she’ll stop at nothing to get it. That even means roping in her late husbands lawyer and Antoinette’s no good for nothing husband to do Antoinette in. But Antoinette has joined Bronco Billy’s (Tarinn Callander) rag tag entertainment group, and she feels that she has finally found a family who likes her for who she is. But Constance is on the hunt for her – and she plans to get her way.

Told through lots of swell songs, good looking western costumes, and a trailer on the stage that moves around and acts as a stage and home for the group – it’s all very clever and entertaining. And the cast all look like they are having fun, and so are we!

With music and lyrics by Chip Rosenbloom and John Torres, direction by Hunter Bid, with Book by Dennis Hackin, you will be in a for a fun and wild ride!
The program describes this show as a mashup of a wild western show, a soap opera, and a disco – all rolled up all in one. It sure is partner!

Now playing until April 7th, 2024.
