Halloumi lovers across the UK rejoice and mark your calendars – the 8th of July will see Burger King launch the highly-anticipated Halloumi Burger nationwide. Made with crispy and delicious halloumi cheese from Cyprus, the Halloumi Burger will have lovers of this Cypriot delicacy filled with excitement.
After a successful trial in Sweden, which had both the UK media and the public pleading for Burger King to bring the burger over to the UK, this summer will see the official launch of the Halloumi Burger in the UK.
Served in a buttery brioche bun with freshly cut crisp lettuce, onions, tomatoes and creamy mayo, the new burger is sure to cause a serious love affair amongst Halloumi loving Brits everywhere.
With the UK now earmarked as the biggest importer of Halloumi, chowing down on over 2,000 tonnes of the Cypriot delicacy per year, the demand for Halloumi has reached fever pitch and Burger King have listened.
Bringing halloumi to the masses, Burger King are excited to be amongst the first quick service restaurant to offer halloumi burgers to the highstreets, stations and airports, all at an accessible price!
This new addition to the menu will bolster Burger King’s meat-free alternatives and sit alongside Burger King’s iconic offerings, such as the flame-grilled Whopper®, as either an alternative or an accompaniment.
The burger can be bought on its own, or as part of a meal alongside Burger King’s signature golden French fries and your favourite drink and, if you’re feeling extra, you can double the halloumi patties.
