The first day in Cannes and the Film Festival is in full kick-off mode so I’ve hit the ground running.

First stop was to pick up accreditation because without this there is no access to pretty much nothing. I watched and tried to get into, Pedro Almodovar’s new film premiere ‘Pride and Glory’, and saw him and stars Antonio Banderas, Penelope Cruz and Cecilia Roth walking up the grand red carpet with literally hundreds of photographers snapping literally hundreds of photos a minute.

It’s really a sight to see. Me and a friend didn’t get in so this was my opportunity to go see the American film ‘The Climb’, a funny and bittersweet film about the relationship between two male friends where one of them wants to make life miserable for the other – and he will do whatever it takes to make it happen.

Kudos to the director and co-writer Michael Angelo Covino for his very original screenplay and amazing cinematographic shots. Later that evening had an encounter with convicted felon/model/husband of Chloe Green Jeremy Meeks and then much later ran into and shook hands with Pedro Almodovar as he was walking along the Croisette after his film premiere. Just another typical night in Cannes.
