LARA New York’s debut in Paris celebrated cross-cultural fashion and ageless elegance.
Paris, France – LARA redefined the runway at La Galarie Bourbon during fashion week, showcasing models from the Chinese Golden Model Search and placing these Golden Age models at the forefront, dominating the majority of the lineup alongside professional models.
Returning to the Paris runway, models aged 40 and above once again dominated the show, radiating sophistication, confidence, and a bold standard of age-inclusive fashion. Their presence reaffirmed that style transcends age, culture, and expectation.
The runway was a striking dialogue between Eastern heritage and contemporary Western evening wear. LARA New York’s Mother of the Bride collection showcased shimmering beaded gowns with delicate pearl embellishments, sweeping trains trailing elegantly across the floor and soft feminine palettes. Each look celebrated timeless beauty, blending heritage with modern glamour in a way that resonated across generations.
This groundbreaking evening followed a live broadcast collaboration on September 26 with Lazio National Television in Rome, Dialogue on Chinese Italian Clothing, a cross-cultural fashion program connecting audiences across Europe and reinforcing fashion as a bridge between civilizations.
Since its launch in March 2025, the Golden Age supermodel initiative has sparked the viral #ChineseGoldenStyle trend and stands as the first global platform to integrate middle-aged and senior Chinese models into the international fashion circuit. Backed by the Golden Age Health Culture and Art Awards, the All China Federation of Trade Unions, and the China Aging Development Foundation, the project underscores China’s cultural industry taking center stage on the world fashion scene.
