In a dazzling celebration of cinematic nostalgia, Christophe Guillarmé unveiled his Spring–Summer 2026 collection at the iconic Balajo in Paris an evocative tribute to the cult classic Desperately Seeking Susan. Drawing inspiration from the film’s magnetic energy and its stars, Madonna and Rosanna Arquette, Guillarmé reimagined the exuberant spirit of the mid-80s through a couture lens.
The collection captured the decade’s fearless essence with structured silhouettes, embroidered statement jackets, and tulle petticoats cascading in unstructured ruffles. Guillarmé played with a vivid palette of mauve, sunlit yellow, fiery red, and oceanic blues, weaving together romance and rebellion. The result: a vision of a modern rock diva sexy, vibrant, and unapologetically daring.

Intricately detailed collage-style dresses in micro-sequined jersey shimmered under the runway lights, evoking the early allure of MTV’s golden era. The mood was one of unrestrained confidence, where fashion and attitude danced in perfect harmony.
Jewelry by Elsa Lee Paris and Iza B added a refined sparkle, while beauty direction by Campus des Maquilleurs, Raphäel Perrier, and Elysées Marbeuf completed the look with polished sensuality. The ambiance, masterfully crafted by set designer Gil Tardieu and sound designer DJ Vanetty, enveloped guests in an atmosphere of artistic decadence.
The evening culminated in a glamorous aftershow celebration, featuring Grégory Verlet Champagne and Tigre Blanc Vodka, where Paris’s fashion elite toasted to Guillarmé’s vision—a perfect balance of glamour, nostalgia, and audacity.
