The Daisy Green Collection to host relief dinner for Australia Day and launches fundraising efforts throughout January in aid of bush fire disasters

On Saturday 25th January, the well-loved Australian restaurant group the Daisy Green Collection will host its unmissable Australia Day celebration in the form of a relief dinner for a very special cause in their homeland. Taking place at their Timmy Green site in Victoria, the eight-course paired tasting menu priced at £95 per person will see all profits donated to the victims of the tragic bushfires still raging in Australia.

Last year’s sold-out event will be back featuring 11 of Australia’s top wines alongside an imaginative tasting menu of seasonal Australian dishes. Timmy Green will be opening its private cellars for an immersive journey through some of Australia’s biggest-hitting wine producers, traditionally including Penfolds (Grange Hermitage, 98 Parker Points), Jeffrey Grosset (Polish Hill Riesling, James Halliday 97 Points) and Jim Barry (Armagh Shiraz, 96 Parker Points). This year, they will also serve and showcase the amazing wines of many of the Adelaide Hills producers who have lost their livelihood in the traffic fires.

Guests will not be disappointed with the rare opportunity to enjoy generous tasting flights of these amazing wines whilst helping to support much-needed aid efforts. The atmosphere will be traditionally Aussie as they celebrate their national day.

All profits from the evening will be going directly to the Country Fire Associations (NSW, Victoria, Queensland and SA), the Red Cross and the Adelaide Hills Wine Region Fire Appeal.

Throughout the month of January, the Daisy Green Collection will also be raising money for the above charities by donating £2 from every chicken parmigiana sold, £1 from every glass of Australian wine sold and 50p from every lamington sold.

The Australia Day relief dinner will take place on Saturday 25th January 2020 at Timmy Green for £95 per person, with all proceeds donated towards victims of the bushfires.
