New Jersey based singer/songwriter DASU dropped his first major international single today in collaboration with Jamaican dancehall superstar Charly Black. The single ‘Turn Back Time’ is a collaborative release between Universal Music India and Aftercluv- Universal Music Latin America’s electronic dance and entertainment division.
DASU and Charly Black burn it up on “Turn Back Time” an infectious dancehall / popsmash that sees both artists in top form bringing out the best of both worlds! The summer vibe of the track gels with the rhythm of the island drums…it’s today’s sound where Pop is embracing Dancehall like never before!

ABOUT DASU:
Amrit Dasu a.k.a. “DASU” – singer, songwriter & model of Indian descent, was born in the United States and raised in the city of Hong Kong. English is his first language however he is also fluent in Cantonese, Hindi and Punjabi. His father traveled very often for business, so Amrit got to see all parts of the world at very young age, naturally giving him a worldly and eclectic taste in music. Some of his biggest influences are superstars like Michael Jackson, Chris Brown & Justin Timberlake. He admires the artists who have the look, the voice, the dance moves, the music and most importantly the ability to have a positive influence on the world basically the total package which is what he himself aspires to be.
After putting out his music on the internet since 2014, DASU bagged his first major record deal with the Universal Music Group in 2016. His debut single “Dil Kya Kare (Did I Love You?)” was produced by the prolific RISHI RICH and featured Bollywood actress MallikaSherawat as the main lead in the music video. DASU’s suave R&B vocals laced over a sample of the eternal `Julie’ classic “Dil Kya Kare” instantly connected with the youth. The music video surpassed 2 million views on VEVO/YouTube in no time while the song soon became a favorite on radio and television.
DASU followed up with “Frenemies” – a straight from the heart English RnB / Soul gem with a new school RnB/Pop sound.
