DB Berdan is a London based hyper streetwear brand created by Deniz Berdan and Begum Berdan, focusing on genderless clothing and the eradication of heteronormativity. For DB Berdan, clothing doesn’t need to be driven by social labels, they aim to unite a community of likeminded individuals that are not defined by sex, race or gender.
The brand are unapologetically themselves and love using their own prints to tell their stories. Through unifying music, film and performance, DB Berdan holistically portray their unique and socially and advanced personality through their collections. As Part of their AW19 Collection in collaboration with Puma Turkey the brand explores the issue of double standards within the fashion industry, regarding the treating the LGBTQ people as token characters, as trophy’s or spectacles to be observed and celebrated within that world. This almost royal like admiration however isn’t something that is extended into mainstream society where in many cases LGBTQ people fill face animosity and mistreatment for merely being themselves. For their AW19 collection, DB Berdan wanted to create a safe space for their Queer family. They want every individual to feel comfortable, included but most importantly, feel safe.

The catwalk show was be styled by Kay Altamira previously at LOVE Magazine using shoes from Puma Turkey this season and face Jewellery from Inaurem and Jewellery and rubber accessories from Prong Jewellery The brand has achieved great critical acclaim within the industry with their collections being featured across publications such as Vogue UK, Vogue Italia, Gay Times, Paper Magazine and more. Their celebrity fans include GIRLI, Lady Leshurr, Dope Saint Jude, Becca Dudley, Stefflon Don, Nadia Rose and many more.
