Those looking for a unique destination to watch the Royal Wedding should look no further as Dreamland Margate today announces that it will host its very own ‘street party’ to celebrate the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Visitors to the amusement park on Saturday 19th May will be able to watch a live screening of the event at the amusement park’s outdoor Scenic Stage, followed by a screening of the FA Cup Final.
The amusement park delighted visitors in 2017 with The World’s Biggest Bouncy Castle and the festivities for the Royal Wedding will see another very special inflatable addition to Dreamland for the day, in the form of an inflatable church – which will have its very own vicar!
Dreamland’s food court will be transformed with party benches, bunting and much more. Football fans will not only be able to enjoy the screening of the FA Cup Final, there will also be interactive ‘Foot Pool’ (football meets pool) at the park.
The park will be offering free entry and an unlimited ride wristband to anyone who has the name Harry or Meghan* (various spellings permitted, must present valid ID) or to anyone wearing a wedding dress. There will be a mass bouquet toss for the chance to win a meal at Cinque Ports in Margate, as well as plenty of photo opportunities with fun props. Dreamland will also be running a competition on Facebook for the best Harry and Meghan lookalikes.
The screenings will be free with park entry. Dreamland will extend its opening hours specially for the events, opening from 11am until 8pm. Entry to Dreamland starts from £5.
