Ealing Mencap marked its 60th anniversary in style by teaming up with Models of Diversity for a powerful celebration of fashion, empowerment, and inclusion. The Inclusive Fashion Show, held on Friday, 5th September 2025 at Parkside Yards, Southall, brought together community members, changemakers, and advocates for a night where diversity took centre stage and outdated beauty standards were left behind.
For more than six decades, Ealing Mencap has championed the rights of people with learning disabilities, offering vital advocacy, support, and opportunities to help them live independent and fulfilling lives. To celebrate this milestone, the charity collaborated with Models of Diversity, founded by former model Angel Sinclair, a pioneering organisation campaigning for greater representation of disabled, plus-size, and ethnically diverse individuals in fashion, beauty, and media.
The evening proved to be more than just a fashion show it was a movement. Models of all abilities redefined beauty on the runway, inspiring audiences with their confidence, courage, and individuality.
The show also featured live performances from the MeTimePop Choir and the West London Performing Arts Academy, whose music and energy electrified the atmosphere. Guests enjoyed exploring stalls filled with treats and products, indulging in delicious food and refreshments, and receiving a VIP welcome complete with champagne and drinks on arrival.
“This was a celebration of courage, confidence, and inclusion,” said a spokesperson for Ealing Mencap. “It showed the world that fashion truly is for everyone.”
