London’s newest bridal designer JACQUI JAMES launched her inaugural bridal collection in St James’ Mayfair on Thursday 17 May 2018. The launch was held to introduce the brand to the UK market and announce the made to measure service.

Established in 2012, the brand was originally created as a ready-to-wear label but later moved into bridal wear in 2016. With a focus on form and structure, the designer explores the varying concept of the classic woman through annual collections and offers a variety of silhouettes and fabrics, which are designed to inspire brides to be. The 2018 collection loosely takes inspiration from crystals and elements of the earth; more specifically the Amethyst crystal, and includes a combination of sleek and grand silhouettes, asymmetrical necklines, princess skirts and hand beaded detailing.

The event featured a collection and a bespoke room, which distinguished the two different offerings from the brand. Guests were able to get a closer look at the new collection in one room and experience the luxurious bespoke gowns created for recent brides, in the other. The evening was supported by and featured a decadent display of flowers to complement the collection by The Flower Story London, a grand wedding cake by award-winning and luxury cake designer, Tees Bakery as well as intricately written calligraphy and signage at each station by Scritto Modern calligraphy and signage.

An elegant display of cakes and treats was provided by the bespoke cake company, Little Cake Garden while the canapés were prepared by private jet caterers, Winton Tod.

Bespoke prosecco cocktails were served all evening by Bar67 Cocktails, while guests had the chance to create their own bespoke dresses at the bespoke station and take pictures of their creations at the Snap and Go provided by Snap and Go booths.

The event was beautifully captured through the magical lens of the talented wedding photographer, Andreea Tufescu and was put together by Frater Weddings and Events and supported by Memories4uweddings.

The newly established designer said, “Bridal wear has been my ultimate goal and working with bespoke clients gives me the opportunity to help others dream. This is such an exciting venture and I am thrilled to be embarking on it. Today has been made possible because of the collaboration and dedication of the suppliers involved and I am very grateful for their support and excited to begin this journey”

The self-taught designer has been operating within the design industry for over 7 years and has gained valuable experience working for luxury design houses such as Michael Kors and Bottega Veneta. She has previously designed for celebrities such as Kelly Rowland and Nicki Minaj.

As well as annual collections, the brand offers a premium design service giving clients the opportunity to collaborate during the made-to-measure process of creating their dream wedding dresses, evening gowns, bridesmaid and occasion dresses.
