The opening of the Gam headquarters in Salerno, the first Italian headquarters of the Mediolanum Art Gallery, took place on 19 September. A surprising inauguration, an art party that skilfully combined cinema and pictorial, sculptural and photographic art.

Prestigious guests participated in the event, including Fabrizio Maria Cortese, the protagonist of the film “Free – Liberi”, the elegant and timeless Corinne Clery, Antonio Catania and others.

Not only a vernissage with works and sculptures by many Gam artists, but also live paintings by the artists Daniela Capuano, Aka Fiò, and Claudia Salvadori, who performed, respectively, portraits of Antonio Catania and Corrine Clery, then honoured to the actors.

Fabrizio Maria Cortese was given the work “Colori e Materia” by Chiara Maresca, while the Producer Vito Caggianelli (Ismaele Film) received the sculpture by Gerardo La Fratta “The Violin”.

MirkoMele, artistic director of the exhibition, for the occasion coordinator of Mediolanum Art Gallery, Rai Cinema, Golden Hour Film, Ismaele Film and Apulia Film Commission, kicked off the national preview of the film “Free – Liberi” after the delivery of the Career Awards to Corinne Clery, Antonio Catania, Fabrizio Maria Cortese and Vito Caggianelli. The film, produced by Golden Hours Film and Rai Cinema in association with Ismaele Film and made with the support of the Apulia Film Commission and the Puglia Region, will be released in Italian cinemas from 29 October.

The film aims to the restart of the cinema industry after the lockdown, it wants to bring viewers back to cinemas, giving them a message of hope, an emotional push not to stop dreaming, at any age. An incredible pill of confidence and positivity.
