Today, Iranian born, Dutch raised and London based artist Eyelar has released her energetic new single ‘Terrible Love’ marking a new era in her frontline artist career. Listen HERE.

EYELAR UNLEASHES ELECTRIFYING ALT POP SINGLE ‘TERRIBLE LOVE’

Speaking about the track Eyelar says: “I wrote terrible love when I suddenly realised I was in a bad situation I needed to get out. Quite soon after, this realisation the song was made, so it felt really cathartic and important to release all my anger and frustrations. I needed to write it to move on. Musically, I wanted a riff that was loud, but also something that could echo my Iranian heritage.”

The release follows Eyelars’ debut EP ‘Mistakes & Contradictions’ which featured singles including ‘Obsessed with Your Ex’, ‘Man Like Her’. and ‘Care Like You’. The EP garnered key tastemaker support from Spindle, NME Pop Justice, and Hunger as well as significant plays across BBC Radio 1’s Future Pop with Mollie King. Navigating the intricate landscapes of both mainstream pop and alt-pop music scenes, she has quietly yet profoundly left her mark as a skilled songwriter and lyricist. Her work reflects a seamless blend of broad appeal and discerning artistry, positioning her as a pivotal figure in the music industry, with over 1.3 billion streams attributed to her credited songs.

To date, Eyelar has penned songs with pop stars including RAYE (‘Buss It Down’), Charli XCX (‘After The After Party’), Anitta (‘Be Ur Baby’) and Demi Lovato (‘Anyone’). Versatile as well as talented, Eyelar’s credits in the world of electronic music span from the likes of David Guetta (‘Kill Me Slow’) through to Swedish House Maffia (‘Lioness’) and more. Beyond her mainstream success, Eyelar also cultivates tastemaker affiliations, working with artists such as Danny L Harle (Caroline Polachek, Dua Lipa, PC Music), Sevdaliza and Brian Eno. Her influence further extended into Fred again’s Grammy Award-winning album, ‘Actual Life 3,’ on which she features and made prominent contributions to.

Her success has been further amplified with the hugely successful single ‘Dopamine,’ produced in collaboration with Grammy Award-winning Purple Disco Machine. The track amassed over 150 million streams and topped the charts in Austria, Belgium, Holland, Poland, and Germany, where it held the #1 airplay spot for four weeks. Her captivating live performances have seen her grace stages at venues and festivals including the Old Blue Last, Camden Assembly, The Great Escape, and she has supported L. Devine and UPSAHL on their respective UK tours.

‘Terrible Love’ is out now and precedes the start of an exciting new chapter for Eyelar as she prepares to release new music, announce further collaborations and continues to push boundaries.
