The “Città dei Sassi” Fashion Award is scheduled for 7th and 8th June 2018, an international competition for fashion designers now in its 10th edition and which this year also celebrates the event through the theme “fashion, elegance and creativity”.
The award is a competition of haute couture and prèt à porter fashion designers set up to promote artisans / creative designers in total feminine looks from all over the world who participate in the event to highlight their artistic skills and make themselves known through the media to an audience international thanks to the presence of fashion exponents, press organs, television networks and the public.
The competition aims to select and reward creators and fashion designers to promote and enhance talent through the presentation on the catwalk of original creations of high fashion and prêt à porter in the city of Matera, UNESCO City and designated as European Capital of Culture in 2019.
Are allowed:
graduates of Academies, Universities and/or state and private schools, professional designers, fashion designers, couturiers, modellers, fashion operators and self-taught persons who have completed their 18th birthday.
This year the competitors can participate in one or more sections and precisely:
A) Haute Couture Fashion Award 2018; B) Haute Couture Fashion Award Cinema 2018 C) Matera European Capital of Culture 2019 Fashion Award 2018 ; D) Prét à Porter Fashion Award 2018; E) Eco-Friendly Innovation Fashion Award 2018.
The following prizes will be awarded:
1) Premio Moda® “Città dei Sassi” – 2) Premio Moda® Prèt à Porter – 3) Premio Moda® at the Cinema (dedicated to the actress Claudia Cardinale) – 4) Premio Moda® “Matera 2019” – 5) Premio Moda® of the Critics – 6) Premio Moda® Journalistic – 7) Premio Moda® Eco-Friendly Innovation.
Subsequently, at the end of the registration deadline (21 February 2018), a specially appointed jury will decree the eight finalist stylists who will have the opportunity to present a collection of fashion creations, specifically High Fashion Woman and Prét à Porter Woman clothing and accessories sections.
In the evening of the event, in front of a special jury composed of experts and illustrious representatives of the world of Italian fashion, local entrepreneurship and trade associations, supported by a jury composed of representatives of the press, the designers will propose their original creations in the suggestive Città dei Sassi.
After the award, the event continues on the website www.premiomoda.it through a virtual showcase of the “Premio Moda®” to revive not only the evening but also the charm of the city of the Sassi.
The success of the Città dei Sassi Fashion Award is to be sought in the ever increasing efforts of the organization in improving the event, increasingly appreciated by the specialized press.
At the Premio Moda® 2018 there are numerous personalities from the institutional world, fashion, journalism, TV and cinema. In this regard, the organizers have started important collaborations with stylists and illustrious figures of the Italian scene whose names will be made public during the press conference to be held in Matera in the first days of June 2018.
The awareness of having as a frame of the event in question a location of the highest cultural level reinforces the great attraction by professionals to the Premio Moda® promoted by ten consecutive years in the City of the Sassi from the Publimusic.com of Matera in collaboration with the Cultural Association “Officina della Cultura”.
