13.30 – SWEDISH SCHOOL OF TEXTILES

Showcasing 21 designers, The Swedish School of Textiles combines the creativity of art with the ingenuity of technology. The degree programmes cover the entire field of textiles, from design through manufacturing to management and technology. Research is of a high international standard and focuses on sustainability – how can their research contribute to a better world? Together with international research networks, they take a closer look at consumer behaviour, global markets, and how we can improve our recycling of clothing as well as exploring new, innovative ways to use textiles.

The catwalk show will showcase 21 designers.

18.30 – DDFC X FAD DUBAI FASHION SHOWCASE: AMIRA HAROON

Amira will be showing as part of an exciting new initiative between the Dubai design and Fashion Council (DDFC), FAD Institute of Luxury Fashion & Style Dubai and Fashion Scout.  The Dubai Fashion Showcase will present and support Emirati and UAE-based fashion designers at Fashion Scout during London Fashion Week.

 

20.00 – AMESH

London born & based, Sri Lankan designer Amesh Wijesekera will showcase his first collection at Fashion Scout 2017.

A graduate of the Academy of Design Sri Lankan, Amesh, has apprenticed with Future Labs, Zandra Rhodes and Edeline Lee and also won the prestigious Oracle International Catwalk Competition Award at Graduate Fashion Week in 2016. Amesh’s design philosophy is to merge the physical and the emotional worlds.  He explores minimal exaggerated shapes and forms with sophisticated textile combinations and detail.

16.30 – FJU TALENTS

 Showing for the first time at Fashion Scout – FJU Talents is a platform showcasing emerging designers from Taiwan.

The platform is sponsored by textiles and clothing department of FU JEN (fju), a leading fashion and textile design education institute based in Taiwan since 1970. FJU Talents supports and nurtures the institute’s talented alumni into the global fashion scene. Four designers are selected by industry experts who mentor and shape their design visions. Finalists who have completed a three-month training scheme will showcase their capsule collections as catwalk shows at fashion scout during London fashion week. Designers showcasing as part of FJU Talents are: INA HSU, SHING LUEN LIOU, SHUN YU, YU MEI HUANG

 

 

18.30 – HOUSE OF MEA

House of Middle East & Asia is a platform to promote and incubate emerging and established fashion talent from across the Middle East, Asia and India. An initiative of the FAD International Academy India and Dubai, House of MEA envisions to create an unparalleled platform to promote regional talent through global fashion capitals.

This year, House of MEA will be showcasing the work of three designers at –  Felix Bendish, Kajal Patel and Nivedita Saboo.

 3.30pm – 5.30pm – YOUJIA JIN – PERFORMANCE

 Youjia graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2011, and the London College of Fashion in 2014 with an MA in Womenswear. Her graduate collection was showcased at London Fashion Week and received an overwhelming response. In September 2014 Youjia was awarded Fashion Scout’s coveted “Ones to Watch” award.

Youjia will showcase her collection as a performance from 15.30 – 17.30
