Neoprotofeminism is an art movement that is stepping towards the future. Welcome to a new wave of feminism that is defined by pro-female social activism. We believe today’s action will dictate our future, pioneering a new era that stands for gender equality and a transformation in social issues.

Neoprotofeminist showProto-feminists were the ones fighting for feminist causes before they even realised it. Neoprotofeminism describes the current transformative action that will soon become the history that shows that feminism’s time was now.

Meet 15 emerging international young artists and designers whose work is at the forefront of the neoprotofeminist perspective, where freedom of expression has no limits. Many are new names from some of the finest art schools including Central Saint Martins, UAL with work on display by the not just a label talent described as “the essence of Italian culture” Nicola Bacchilega.

Artists previously featured in GQ, Evening Standard, Vogue, Vice, Refinery 29, Times Style, Dazed and BBC Newsbeat and recent exhibitions and awards include Affordable Art Fair 2018, Xhibit, Mullen Lowe Nova Awards 2018 and the Penguin Design Award.

Brought to you by artist and creative director Nia Hefe Filiogianni founder of Cream Athens, and Creative Debuts.
