With over 20 years of working as a fashion design director at both Massimo Dutti and M&S, Queralt had a vision of creating a children’s clothing brand that fused traditional craftsmanship and methods with a modern approach within a responsible business model.

This vision did not come free of obstacles as this project started during the pandemic, in Amsterdam where she was living at the time. With a passionate and super positive team, Queralt was able to overcome the obstacles caused by such a difficult environment. It took months of calls and virtual working but in late September last year, Five of Us was launched.

Queralt’s passion for style and craftsmanship started at a very young age due to her father’s background. He ran a well-known textile business in Spain, famous for its high-quality cotton fabrics and beautiful shirting designs.

The vision of the brand was very clear for Queralt; she wanted to recover the traditional craftmanship of well-done items and give them a modern touch. Five of Us aims to become The Modern Artisan, offering made-to-order pieces, designed in London and handmade in Spain, whilst always using sustainably sourced materials. Pieces thought to be timeless, seasonless and versatile – fit to wear for dinner with the Queen or climbing trees alike.
