Francesca Liberatore’s SS2025 Collection: A Fusion of Sculpture and Fashion Inspired by Bruno Liberatore
Francesca Liberatore unveils her Spring/Summer 2025 collection, drawing inspiration from the profound sculptural works of her father, master artist Bruno Liberatore. This collection, presented at the prestigious Giangiacomo Feltrinelli Foundation, transcends the boundaries between fashion and art, creating a powerful narrative that links human form and nature.
Liberatore’s work is deeply informed by her father’s artistic philosophy, where sculptures become “stone books” revealing the forces of nature and history. As Furio Colombo describes, Bruno Liberatore “revives what nature already contains… centuries of culture and history.” This poetic exploration is brought to life in Francesca’s designs, where fabric and form mimic the inanimate but dynamic nature of her father’s sculptures.
With precise, pyramidal cuts and structured silhouettes, the SS25 collection incorporates materials like cotton—a symbol of resilience—while embroidery on tulle reflects natural elements, combining art with biological echoes. Straight-lined jackets, post-modern crinolines, Oriental-inspired pants, and dresses that blend masculine and feminine elements are key to the collection’s vision. The brand’s iconic leather bag, made in collaboration with Lineapelle, stands as a testament to sustainable luxury.
A sophisticated color palette, with earthy tones interspersed with flashes of acidic, technological hues, mirrors Bruno Liberatore’s bronze sculptures, which “take on shades of blue,” as described by Renato Minore. The collection offers a harmonious fusion of tradition and modernity, with fluid fabrics and sculpted forms transforming the runway into a canvas of artistic expression.
Francesca Liberatore’s SS25 collection reflects a reunion of man and nature, where fashion becomes a medium to convey the timeless beauty of art and human creativity.
