Gala Dinner organized by the Better World Fund

Maison des Polytechniciens, on Thursday, December 14, 2023. To encompass the mission of the Better World, the event will focus on four major pillars:

    1. Celebrating the 2nd anniversary of the “Disability, Employment, and Occupational Health” Chair.
    1. “Health, Wealth, and Hospitality” – A message of longevity and prevention in partnership with Maison Villeroy and NADclinic.
    1. Launching the Better World Business Club.
    1. Announcing the 2024 program, centred around the Crown Jewel of Philanthropy.

This set of initiatives underscores our commitment to noble values and our collective vision for a better future. We look forward to sharing these significant moments with our partners, friends, and the community in the spirit of creating a positive impact in the world around us.

Celebrating the 2nd anniversary of the “Disability, Employment, and Occupational Health” Chair:

In honor of the 2nd Anniversary of the Chair of Training and Research “Disability, Employment, and Occupational Health,” the Better World Fund is co-organizing a Gala with the Chair at the Hôtel de Poulpry, Maison des Polytechniciens, on Thursday, December 14, 2023.

    Better World Production

This inaugural Parisian edition aims to support the cause of Disability by honoring the work of the Chair led by Karine Gros, Associate Professor Accredited to Supervise Research at the University Paris-Créteil (UPEC), and Knight in the National Order of the Legion of Honor.

The evening will feature a Trophy presentation ceremony honoring three individuals for their impactful contributions to the field of Disability and the screening of the animated film “Dear Mother,” produced by Better World Production and supported by Thales, SAP, Public Finances, the Embassy of France, and the French Institute in the United Arab Emirates. Sponsored by Karine Gros and author/comedian Adda Abdali, “Dear Mother” is inspired by the true story of an Emirati child with Down syndrome who became a Paralympic swimming champion. Following the dinner, a raffle will be organized to support initiatives and awareness events for Disability in 2024 and organizations working towards the health and inclusivity of society.

“Health, Wealth, and Hospitality” – A message of longevity and prevention in partnership with Maison Villeroy and NADclinic:

The Better World Fund is delighted to announce that the NADclinic Group, a center of excellence dedicated to health and well-being, is the Platinum sponsor of this gala, in collaboration with Maison Villeroy (Hospitality Group Collection). The joint commitment of NADclinic, the Better World Fund, and Maison Villeroy is a strong act in favor of promoting well-being, wealth, and hospitality. The London clinic will offer guests an introduction to their health optimization method in the prestigious setting of Maison Villeroy.

An introduction to their revolutionary therapy in an esteemed setting.

The joint commitment of NADclinic, the Better World Fund, and Maison Villeroy is a strong act in favor of promoting well-being, generosity, and hospitality.

The gala – a vital initiative in honouring the “Disability, Employment, and Occupational Health” Chair – is dedicated to advancing innovative research and training initiatives aimed at fostering the social integration and professional growth of individuals with mental and physical health challenges. This theme reflects the joint commitment of NADclinic and the Better World Fund organisation towards promoting well-being, economic growth and exceptional service in France and globally.

Iain De Havilland, Founder and CEO of NADclinic, shared his excitement: “We are thrilled to enhance our partnership with the Better World Fund and Maison Villeroy for this significant event in Paris. This collaboration isn’t just a gathering; it’s a potent symbol of hope and progress in inclusivity. Our role as Platinum Sponsors underscores our dedication to fostering a better world, and we eagerly anticipate an evening of meaningful impact and generosity.”

Launching the Better World Business Club:

With a history of over a decade of concrete philanthropic actions related to major humanitarian, climate, and environmental challenges, the Better World Fund is now actively working to raise awareness through cinema and culture. This gala will mark a new direction for the endowment fund with the launch of the Better World Business Club—a community of business leaders committed to a better world, bringing together individuals from diverse industries to create new forms of solidarity and positive impact.

By joining this community, members have the opportunity to meet inspiring personalities, share experiences and best practices, expand their network through an exclusive database, and participate in business club tables at international events. The Better World Business Club is a dynamic, innovative, and inspiring community of business leaders sharing a common ambition to work together for a better world. Our members are among those who mobilize to create new forms of solidarity, demonstrating humanism and creativity. These men and women aspire to have a positive impact on our planet, the one we will leave to our children, and our common future.

Announcing the 2024 program, centred around the Crown Jewel of Philanthropy.

The final pillar of this event, the Better World Fund will announce the auction of the “Crown Jewel of Philanthropy” at the Cannes Festival on May 19, 2024. This legendary 23.43-carat pink diamond, designed by high-jewelry designer Guy Baruch, is said to originate from the famous Golconda mine. With an estimated value between 8 and 10 million dollars, the proceeds from its sale will be donated to the Better World Fund and the Lang Lang Foundation. This exceptional diamond, a modified brilliant-cut cushion of 23.43 carats, is about to go under the hammer at the prestigious Better World Fund charity auction—an event that promises not only elegance but also an impact on the world.

The Better World Fund and the “Disability, Employment, and Occupational Health” Chair thank their partners and patrons for organizing this anniversary gala:  NAD Clinic, Thales, Casino 3.14, Joanna Plafsky, Finances Publiques, Clinique la Prairie, Eliprint, SAP, SPOA, Squair, Visuall Group, We Do Sync, Hope Giver Campaihm, Marquise Invest, Chaire Handicap Emploi et Santé au Travail. La marraine de cette édition 2023 à Paris est S.A.R la Princesse Béatrice de Bourbon des Deux-Siciles. De nombreuses personnalités issues du monde scientifique, artistique et politique l’entoureront.

    Disability Employment Occupational Health Chair

United around these 4 pillars, we look forward to seeing you on Thursday, December 14, 2023, for an evening where generosity and commitment are at the heart of the event.
