Dutch alternative-electronic solo artist Heijmat returns with a vibrant new remix of the single ‘Where Will It Take Us’ courtesy of Ramsesboomboom (the project of acclaimed production duo Erik Buschmann and Wannes Salomé).  LISTEN HERE

The brainchild of acclaimed multi-platinum award winning mixing engineer and producer Huub Reijnders, the remix comes off the back of the acclaimed new EP Lost & Found (February 16th).  Having formed a career producing for the likes of Jack Parow, Kraak & Smaak, MEAU, Merol and many other renowned artists, Heijmat has also built a feverish hype for his own music. Creating vibrant soundscapes of swelling analogue synths and mesmerising beats, Heijmat has gained widespread acclaim with placements across Spotify and Apple Music Editorials.

The new remix pulls apart the structure of ‘Where Will It Take Us’ and creates a more ambient, synth led electronic soundscape dappled with resampled vocals and vibrant 4 to the floor beats which gradually grow throughout. Ethereal, euphoric and wonderfully freeing, allowing space for experimentation, the remix introduces the lead vocal of MRYN at the midpoint as the beat dips before reaching an explosive climax as the fluorescent analogue synths shine and the beats punch through the sub heavy bass.

Talking about the remix, Huub explains:

“I discovered Ramsesboomboom through a track I mixed on which Erik Buschman played drums. When they put out their single ‘Uppaclass’ I immediately fell for their quirky and infectious sound, and reached out to Erik to see if they wanted to do a remix for me; they agreed and I couldn’t be happier with their take on ‘Where Will It Take Us’. I think they took the track to a whole new level and I can’t wait to see how people react to it!”

Erik Buschmann of Ramsesboomboom adds:

“The track and vocals from MRYN had such an inviting nice vibe – we started messing around with the vocals first. While searching for a new sound we were scrolling through a granular synth. That scrolling sound eventually became the foundation for this remix.”

Heijmat’s has have quickly gained recognition, earning placements on prestigious playlists such as Electronic Rising and New Music Friday. This exposure has cultivated a dedicated and growing fanbase worldwide, drawn to the artist’s ability to push the boundaries of electronic music, constantly evolving and reinventing his sound with each release.
