28 September 2026 – Since 1963, Henri-Lloyd has been creating pioneering clothing for life on and around the ocean. The new Originals collection for Autumn/Winter 2026 celebrates that history, bringing together some of Henri-Lloyd’s most recognisable designs, remade for today with the same commitment to purpose, performance and longevity.
Drawn from more than six decades of innovation at sea, Originals revisits signature Henri-Lloyd pieces through a contemporary lens. It combines familiar silhouettes, considered details, and modern fabrics and fits, designed to be worn today and for years to come.
“Our designs were tested by the sailors who defined ocean racing. Originals brings those pieces back, not as replicas, but as the jackets and knits we’d make today if we were starting from scratch with everything we’ve learned since 1963,” says Tom McMullen, CMO of Henri-Lloyd.
The Shoot: Aboard Eileen II
To truly capture the essence of Originals, Henri-Lloyd travelled to Norway to sail aboard Eileen II, a yacht whose own story of enduring design mirrors the philosophy behind the collection.
Designed by Alfred Mylne in 1934, Eileen II has spent more than ninety years at sea. She was built specifically for balance, performance and elegance: nothing unnecessary, nothing without purpose.
“We really did aim to build a boat of such quality that it would last a hundred years” said Ian Nicholson – Yacht Designer & Former Partner, A. Mylne & Co.
That same principle has kept Henri-Lloyd’s designs relevant for over sixty years.
The Originals Lineup
Originals brings together our most distinctive designs, each defined by its purpose, character and story. Made for today, with the same commitment to performance:
Consort Original Jacket
The Consort Jacket’s story began more than 60 years ago. It was first made from Bri-Nylon, a then-revolutionary fabric that was waterproof, lightweight and flexible. Pioneering sailors wore it, including Sir Francis Chichester on his solo circumnavigation aboard Gipsy Moth IV.
Today’s Consort pairs that classic style with modern materials. It has diamond quilting, 100% polyester fill for warmth, and a PFAS-free DWR finish, with 10,000mm waterproofing and 3,000g breathability. Available in navy and light olive.
Jib Jacket
Where the Consort carried explorers across oceans, the Jib was developed in the 1970s for those who needed performance with freedom of movement – a lightweight, insulated jacket that became a lasting cultural symbol.
For AW26, it returns with its unmistakable silhouette intact, updated with modern materials. Also available in navy and light olive.
Consort RWR
Italian designer Olmes Carretti created the Consort RWR (Round the World Race) Jacket, which launched in 1987. It was a bold reinterpretation of the Consort, designed to bring the energy of offshore adventure into everyday life. The RWR has been reissued and reimagined over the decades while keeping its balance of heritage and style.
The AW26 version honours Carretti’s design with recycled nylon, a PFAS-free DWR finish for responsible water repellency, and updated fits and detailing. Available in navy blue, light olive and washed yellow.
