We could not imagine the successful outcome of the International Fashion Week Dubai even with the current situation of covid-19. This was not just International Fashion Week Dubai Season 10 but the very first physically attended a fashion event in Dubai and it was beautifully and professionally executed by its organizers. It was very obvious that so much effort was put into the organization and application of safety precautions to ensure orderliness and the safety of participants and the attendees of this monumental event.
Some of the prominent personalities which were present at the event are – Chief Guest H. H. Sheikh Juma Bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, Dr. Yaqoob Al Ali and Sheikh Obaid bin Suhail bin Butti Al Maktoum, Rida Abdullah, Amani Souissi which are well known Arab singers were present all 3 days. TaranahZamani a well-known blogger and influencer was also one of the guests of honor among many other celebrities and important personalities.
One of the eye-catching scenes during this amazing 3-days event was the huge exhibitions of international fashion brands at the venue of the event, the Polish National Stand happen to own the most attractive exhibition stand at the event all in preparation for Expo 2020. The Poland government chose International Fashion Week Dubai as their official partner to promote Expo 2020 Dubai through the pre promotions of their fashion designers and brands.
During our conversation with the Managing Director and Founder of the International Fashion Week Dubai Ms. Cheryle Dias she spoke about this season being a very special season as they are having to celebrate the 10th season after a major pandemic. She spoke about focusing on increasing more opportunities for designers to expand their networks and grow their brands which is in line with one of the goals of International Fashion Week. She expressed that this was an exceptional season but turned out to be a huge success with so much orderliness and safety precautions. She mentioned that the trust the international clients had in her giving the current situation is a source of motivation to her to produce bigger and more successful events. Ms. Cheryle Dias said she couldn’t have fathomed International Fashion Week in a virtual manner as even the capitals of fashion Paris and Milan have immediately switched to physical shows which is the real norm of fashion week.
She specially commended and thanked the Dubai government who have really gone a long way in creating and supporting steps towards the growth and development of the business sector in Dubai. Season 10 summer/spring 2021was held from 12th to 14th November at Sofitel Dubai The Palms and it presented the most classy and modern collections from the biggest names in the fashion industry. Actively present were Celebrity designers; Jean Fares – Lebanon who dresses Paris Hilton, Mariah Carey, Paula Abdul and many more Hollywood stars, AklFakih- Lebanon who dressed Nancy Arjan, Royal Princesses and many more, designer Diana Wilkiewicz (Poland) who presented attention grabbing Bridal collection. The closing dress was the most expensive dress with cut stone Amber Jewellery which is worth 70 Thousand euros. Another designer Grazia Di Miceli (Italy) presented an exoctic and luxirious collection. Dorotha Gold Point (Poland) and Marselini (Poland) showcased elegant beautiful evening wear, Noor Ahmed (Jordan) presented classy abaya’s which added an entirely different touch. Riya Kulkarni (India) was a new talent and she did justice to her collection, RazanKaveen (Jordan) presented a ready to wear collection with modern style. Baylandi from Paris, the brand was entirely different and innovative through their presentation of luxury face masks and a classy dress of Lady Gaga on their finale. The Finale Show was closed by the famous diamond jewelleryMozafrian with the most expensive diamond jacket worth 57 million pound which had been in the Guiness book of world records.
All the participants were presented with the awards during the International Fashion Awards.
