Multi-faceted talent METTE has today announced she will be supporting global superstar Taylor Swift at her highly anticipated Wembley Stadium show on June 21st, as part of The Eras Tour.
The announcement comes fresh off the back of METTE’s stunning live performance at the prestigious Ivor Novello Awards last week, where she was nominated for ‘Best Contemporary Song’ for ‘MAMA’S EYES’ – a testament to METTE’s creative excellence in songwriting and her enduring artistic impact. METTE was specially chosen to perform Bennie and the Jets’ in honour of Bernie Taupin who was in attendance, further highlighting her exceptional talent and versatility as an artist. Not stopping there, last week ‘MAMA’S EYES’ was also awarded a Yellow Pencil D&AD Award in both the Music Video and Long Form categories.
METTE recently released the video for her single ‘BET’ directed by C Prinz which has surpassed over 150k streams since its release last week. Watch HERE. The record has received substantial support from BBC Radio 1, and has earned the distinction of being Jack Saunders’ ‘Record of the Week’ on his New Music Show, solidifying METTE’s position as a formidable force in the music industry.
2023 was a standout year for METTE who consistently pushed boundaries and garnered widespread acclaim with her debut EP ‘METTENARRATIVE’ which featured singles ‘VAN GOGH’, ‘FOR THE PEOPLE’, and ‘MAMA’S EYES’. In addition to her upcoming performance at Wembley Stadium alongside Taylor Swift, METTE will be supporting BRIT Award winning group Jungle on their Centenary Square, Birmingham date on 24th August and will perform at festivals and stages across the globe including Pukkelpop, Lowlands, and Reading & Leeds.
