Taipei born Johan Ku began his career as a graphic designer at just 17 and established his studio in 2005 after completing a Masters course In fashion and textiles. As an incredibly versatile designer, his collections vary from unorthodox and innovative structural knitwear to luxury ready to wear menswear and womenswear. The brand has been worn by celebrities such as Shailene Woodley and Carrie Underwood to name a few.

The Johan Ku Gold Label debuted Tokyo Fashion Week in 2011 where Ku has continued to show as a named designer for the past 8 years. His first collection was selected as one of the best seven collections at TFW alongside brands such as ANREALAGE by WWD Japan. Previous Gold Label collections such as RTW SS17, show heavily graphic prints on structured garments that also mirror some classic silhouettes. This style is cohesive across the gold label brand with captivating shapes and structures constructing unique garments. Joseph Ku’s Gold Label collections have been featured on publications such as VOGUE UK, Business of Fashion and many more.
