One of the most amazing family movie I’ve ever watched was Jumanji with Robin Williams. When I heard Jumanji 2 was coming out I couldn’t wait to see it. After going to a preview of the movie I have to tell you that it was a total disappointment.
The first Jumanji was very innocent, this new one is totally adult humour. Changing characters meant that the plot was brain twisting and confusing, of course since we are in a technology world we need to give up lovely board games and have to move to computer games.
There are lots of lame jokes in the film, including one scene were a girl turns to a male character who is having problems to pee, this and many other adult jokes are in poor taste. I see this movie as a stolen dream of Jumanji – good cast but very bad story. I have started to see more woman heroes in the movies. This is a good sign as women can be strong and heroic which is a latest trend. But why should these women heroes be sexy?
I am sure we would all be happy and still enjoy if a woman hero is not sexy. When we will stop seeing sexy women especially in a family movie? Then why do we complain that the new generation is taking lip kiss selfies. Overall I wouldn’t give more than 2 stars to JUMANJI 2.
