Renowned fashion designer Karina Bond unveiled her latest collection at London Fashion Week, captivating audiences with a concept inspired by primal instincts that link humanity to the natural world. The collection explored shared subconscious and animalistic behaviors that unite all living beings. “When we strip away cultural dominance,” Bond remarked, “we share the same subconscious instincts with panthers and antelopes alike.”

This Collection dives deep into those instncts, translatng them into a compelling narratve on the catwalk. From textured faux alligator skin to delicate 3D printed jellyfish tentacles, this season’s Collection showcases an array of intricate materials. “CraJsmanship is at the core of our brand,” Bond notes. Hand-painted details, experimental techniques such as smocking faux leather, and the delicate juxtapositon of contrastng materials offer a masterclass in texture play. Each piece is carefully constructed to act as a second skin, challenging the conventonal boundaries of fabric and form.

Bonds Collection leans into earthier tones, playing with unconventonal color combinatons like lime green, turquoise, and magenta. Transparent fabrics contrast with heavily embellished textles, underscoring a sensual dichotomy between vulnerability and power. As Bond reflects, “I really focused on designing rich textures that could feel like a second skin on the wearer.”

This season also marks a technical evoluton for Karina. With an emphasis on sculptural silhoueSes and 3D-printed embellishments, Bond has craJed a Collection that challenges her past work in complexity and innovaton. “The most important part of my designs is how they make the person wearing them feel. This year, we did the castng first and then made the Collection for the models,” she explains.

Bond has worked closely with milliner Virna Pasquinelli, jewelry designer Ivy Jiang, nail artst Megan from Brixton Claws, and stylist Borna Prikaski. “It’s the first tme I’ve collaborated with a stylist for a Collection, and this has given my work a new dimension,” Bond says, notng how collaboraton has elevated the final product.

Karina Bond contnues her commitment to sustainability with this Collection. With a focus on dead stock fabrics, hand-made embellishments, and one-of-a-kind samples created in her local London atelier, Bond emphasizes the importance of conscious fashion. “Sustainability is always at the forefront of our values,” she explains.
