For Spring/Summer 2026, LEM unveils “Blanket,” a deeply personal and evocative collection inspired by founder Pridon Niguriani’s childhood memories. Drawing from the vibrant patchwork blankets hand-sewn by his grandmother, Niguriani channels nostalgia, warmth, and emotional depth into a line that is both visually rich and conceptually layered.
“She crafted beautiful patchwork blankets that are still cherished in our family. They’re more than textiles – they’re stories,” says Niguriani.
The collection explores the blanket as a metaphor for comfort, home, and emotional resilience. Through its unique textures and hues, “Blanket” captures the duality of life – joy and sorrow, triumph and vulnerability.
At the heart of the collection is an oversized statement blanket, a showpiece that took nearly two months to fabricate. It stands as a tribute to Niguriani’s grandmother and the enduring beauty of handcrafted heritage.
Color plays a central role: vivid stripes of crimson, cobalt, and gold evoke the playful sparks of a fireplace, while cooler tones like blue dusk and purple sunrise add emotional contrast. A cobalt blue and burgundy gown adorned with floral tulle exemplifies the collection’s romantic yet grounded aesthetic.
Accessories and silhouettes are equally expressive – mystical hats with red roses on black netting, geometric motifs in warm reds, golds, whites, and blacks layered over red cargo trousers, exotic trenches, and ethereal Chantilly lace pieces. Each look is a patchwork of memory and modernity, echoing the tactile richness of the original blanket.
“Blanket” is a testament to LEM’s commitment to sustainability. Patchwork, long celebrated across cultures, is reimagined here as a strategy for minimizing waste and taking care of the planet. Niguriani incorporates pillow covers, deadstock materials, and fabric remnants to craft trenches, jackets, and skirts – breathing new life into forgotten textiles.
“We’re embracing sustainability by transforming waste into beauty,” Niguriani explains.
Vintage fabrics, metal scraps, and statement chain jewelry are repurposed throughout the collection, reinforcing LEM’s signature upcycling ethos. “Blanket” is not just a fashion statement – it’s a generational narrative woven with care, resilience, and hope.
Warm, vivid, and emotionally resonant, LEM’s SS26 collection invites us to wrap ourselves in the strength of the past while stepping boldly into the future.
