The ‘Virtual’ 7th Edition of London Fashion Film Festival has been held on 12th and 13th September on the LFFF’S website.

Each year the London Fashion Film Festival hosts a variety of screenings that focus on the subject of fashion and film. This gives Londoners, film and fashion enthusiasts the chance to watch iconic movies in the heart of the capital. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year we feel that we need to make some changes to the London Fashion Film Festival 2020 event to make sure it is safe for everyone We were hosting a ‘virtual’ event on the 12th and 13th September 2020 that will be available on LFFF’s website.

In the absence of a physical show, this season London Fashion Film Festival was jam-packed with virtual content such as short films, documentaries, music videos and interviews and a ‘virtual’ award ceremony.

The program for this year contains some groundbreaking work, that really does expand scope and influence both artistically and for fashion styles and tones. During the festival, 83 individual films were shown as Official Selection 2020, which was screened on Saturday 12th September. 55 fashion films were nominated for awards and 22 films won awards on 13th September. The Award Ceremony and interviews and filmmakers panel were on Sunday 13th September.

The Festival President and Director Beatrice Bloom is justifiably proud of what has been achieved and said:

The current situation has put limits on every part of the film industry. However, based on the increasing numbers of people who have submitted their films to London Fashion Film Festival. I also believe this crisis has engendered creativeness in filmmakers and artists. Every year we have even more submissions from new talent around the world. I always believed that this medium of communicating with consumers and with other fashion enthusiasts would increase interest year by year. It is the best way to exhibit talents or products to everyone around the globe, and is essential as many will not be able to attend fashion shows and catwalk events. This year people all around the world have been able to watch LFFF’s event online.
