Suffolk Alt-Pop up and comer LOOME returns with the infectious, breezy summer bop ‘Thoughts On U’, the first single to be taken from the upcoming EP. ON SPOTIFY HERE
Mixed alongside producer Venjent and then the legendary Mike Hillier (Rag N Bone Man, Genesis, Clean Bandit, Kasabian) at Metropolis Studios, ‘Thoughts On U’ is another sparkling addition to Loome’s growing catalogue – a spotless alt-pop track full of musical depth and commercial appeal.
Bright, expansive, joyous and jiving right from the off, exercising his pop exploits. Loome’s striking ability to deliver relatable lyricism and craft vibrant, shimmering soundscapes shines as he layers swelling synths, bright modulated guitar lines, tight punching beats and plucky bass. Loome’s elegant, effortlessly charismatic vocal takes centre stage, delivering the emotive, heartfelt tone he has become known for.
Talking about the single, Loome explains: “I loved the idea of the person who tore my heart out asking how you’ve been doing… like are you for real?! And then my response being this song. As you would imagine, my response would be drenched in sarcasm.
‘It’s probably for the best, you’re not laying on my chest, you always seemed too obsessed (lol), Honestly what could I expect?’
That response was what drove the whole story. In keeping with the comical nature of the lyrics, I decided the music had to have an upbeat, summery and ‘care-free’ feel. Like a ‘well adjusted’ human, hiding their pain behind humour.”
LOOME is the solo project and pseudonym of Suffolk based multi-instrumentalist, producer and writer, Tomas Frankson. Having gained extensive Spotify Editorial playlist support (Peach, Fresh Finds Uk, Alt.Pop) during the global lockdown, markedly with his 2021 single PSYCHO which stretched itself across the globe to Asia, which has gained over 700K listeners to date.
Remaining fiercely independent, picking up award nominations, a whole host of press support form the likes of Purple Melon, Earmilk and Backseat Mafia as well as radio plays from BBC introducing and across the UK, the solo artist is now back with yet more music to further solidifying his place as one to watch.
