A candid conversation with Lorenzo Lello Carvelli about his journey from Cannes recognition to creating globally acclaimed films that redefine modern storytelling.
Interviewer: Today we have the pleasure of interviewing Lorenzo Lello Carvelli, a promising international producer, writer, and director officially recognized at the Cannes Film Festival. Lorenzo, tell us about yourself. Are you happy with your success?
Lorenzo: It’s been very hard to get to this point, and I still have a long way to go before I reach my goals, but I’m already very happy and honored by the recognition and achievements I’ve already achieved!
Interviewer: Which films, among those you’ve participated in or directed as a producer, are you particularly satisfied with?
Lorenzo: I’m truly happy and proud of all the feature films I’ve made to date. I think “Cinque,” “The Elevator,” “Le Guerre Horrende,” “Youtopia,” and “Give Them Wings” are all unique cinematic works directed by fantastic directors and featuring extraordinary actors. Each story is certainly original and impactful! This is always what I strive for and what I’m trying to achieve both as a producer and as a writer. In addition to two very successful short films as a director, I hope to one day direct a feature film as a director!
Interviewer: Tell us about your latest film productions.
Lorenzo: We presented the world premiere of the feature film “6:06” at the Venice Film Festival, where director Tekla Taidelli received two awards and I was honored as Executive Producer at the Nation Awards! We’re now finishing shooting in the UK the feature film “The Force – The Michael Watson Story,” which tells the story of the most famous boxer of all time. I’m very happy to have met award-winning Chilean director Gustavo Letelier (50 wins and nominations), with whom we’re currently in post-production on “El Retrato en la Mirada,” a feature film I find amazing. I’m sure that when we present it at a major film festival in 2026, everyone will see a brilliant director who, I’m sure, will be recognized as one of the world’s greatest!
Interviewer: Thank you, Lorenzo, for your kindness, and we wish you all the great success you deserve in the future on behalf of Fab UK!
Lorenzo: Thank you so much for your consideration, and I hope to return to your wonderful magazine soon with great news!
