Lufthansa is introducing a new source of inspiration designed specifically for the creative community. In collaboration with selected European fashion talent, the airline has created a series of Fashion Guides that spotlight long-haul destinations around the world. The aim is to connect European creatives with renowned local designers for an immersive cultural and creative experience.

Local fashion meets global perspectives
Rather than following the typical tourist trail, the creators venture off the beaten path to experience each destination through the lens of locals. Together with emerging designers, they connect with the creative community, collaborate on unique pieces and explore the city’s most inspiring fashion hotspots.
The four Fashion Guides at a glance:
- Bengaluru, India – British influencer Mark Frost (@markfrost) explored Bengaluru and was welcomed by SNOB designers, Mani Shanker Singh and Ritu Jain. Together they guided him through the city’s bold, boundary-pushing fashion scene.
- Tokyo, Japan – Italian influencer Federica Delsale (@federicadelsale) partnered with Open Sesame Club designer Miho Ogata to explore Tokyo’s avant-garde fashion scene.
- Mexico City, Mexico – French creator Florette Nacer (@florettenacer) immersed herself in the city’s dynamic blend of modern design and traditional craftsmanship, guided by renowned designer Carla Fernández.
- Johannesburg, South Africa – Spanish artist and fashion designer Carmen Farala (@carmenfarala) collaborated with Thando Ntuli-Sommie of Munkus to explore Johannesburg’s vibrant fashion culture.

Lufthansa as a platform for cultural exploration
“With this initiative, we aim to inspire fashion enthusiasts to discover the unique spirit of each destination — by connecting with local fashion communities, discovering emerging designers, and uncovering hidden gems,” says Michael Knapp, Head of EMEA Marketing at Lufthansa Group. “Our flights don’t just connect cities — they connect people and cultures, and ideas. And in this case, also creativity.”
