Situated in the heart of North London, a stone’s throw away from trendy Upper Street lies Citadines Islington London.

These apartments are absolutely stunning and they are decorated to the highest of standards and contain some amazing amenities. If you are after clean, luxury living and are looking at a London overnight stay, a mini break away, or maybe a longer stay, then these self-serviced apartments are recommended.

The apartments are equipped with air conditioning and cater for singles, couples, and groups/families alike and so there is a nice selection of accommodation types to choose from and they are extremely spacious and airy too. How hygienically clean the building and the apartments are, are noticeable from the moment you walk through the front doors and so it’s very reassuring from the start. It made me smile to see this and was blown away by the standards here, I genuinely could not fault Citadines.

Stepping outside of Citidines and you’re surrounded by a lively hub of bars and restaurants nearby and there is that fabulous bustling London city feel around you. There is free WiFi available and there is also a perfectly kitted-out gym should you fancy a workout. The studios and apartments are equipped with a large flat-screen TV, and there is a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area and a private bathroom. The rooms have dishwashers, a kettle, a microwave, and a fridge so it’s easy to store food safely. The hotel offers a lovely breakfast for its guests which ranges from cereals, fresh fruits, pastries, various kinds of cheese, toast, and more. It’s perfect for starting the day correctly and giving you that boost of energy. You can eat breakfast in the breakfast area or you can eat in the comfort of your own space.

Citadines Islington London is easily accessible by the tube and there are bus stops nearby as well as only being 20 minutes from London’s St Pancras station.

The staff are very friendly, and accommodating and are always on hand to answer any questions or concerns, it’s also lovely to be greeted with a smile, so this left a pleasant memory. I felt comfortable and content staying at Citadines Islington and what made it even more special was that it very much had that ‘home from home’ feeling to it.

Alongside the gym, there is a lounge area to relax in and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee or if you are needing to do some work, there are business facilities available as well where you can work in comfort and privacy.

Should you have fur babies in your family, the serviced residences are pet friendly and so your pets are welcome but do check in for exact charges that apply. Should you need to do some washing during your stay, there is a self-service laundry service available for a small fee.

As these apartments are serviced, should you need to buy groceries for rustling up something delicious, there are supermarkets within walking distance and where you can also grab a cheeky takeaway at the many choices of cuisines on your doorstep. There is no shortage of restaurants or takeaways to choose from so you will be pleasantly pleased.

If you are a fan of Japanese cuisine and Middle Eastern, then be sure to check out JiJi restaurant, this is an immediate wow factor where two amazing flavors and cuisines combine.

The overall feeling of the accommodation was lovely and it had a very safe feeling to it as well, it was a perfect night’s sleep with very comfortable beds. I would certainly recommend Citidines and loved the fact of it being affordable and importantly, so central to many London landmarks, main stations and where it was great for walking around and exploring too.
