Set in the beautiful island of Funchal, Portugal, Madeira Fashion Weekend 2021 (MFW) was celebrated in true style. Despite the restrictions and growth of the global pandemic, husband and wife team, Francis and Yvonne Cardoso were determined to put on a spectacular show and together with the support of the Madeira promotion Bureau APM director Nuno Vale of Madeira Island, Madeira Fashion Weekend 2021 saw in its fifth season in November 2021, held at The Jardins Da Ajuda.
Founder, lead performer and creative choreographer Cardoso dazzled the audience with Designers from around the global, live musical acts and dance performances, leaving the entire venue elevated with excitement. With Event Manager Analiza De Sousas and Backstage Manager Muneer Mohammad, the beautiful balance of both Catwalk and Performances ran seamlessly, whilst the Comperes Sheena Sedani and Pedro Crispin had the audience excited throughout and on hanging off their seats, with Event Technicians Eventos Madeira filling the entire venue with glitz and glamour!

With an air of both nerves and excitement, the very cool, calm and collected Sayma Shah was on hand, treating everyone to a soothing skin facial with her Gua Sha treatments, followed by a team of talented Hair Stylists led by Sandra De Afonseca and Makeup Artists led by Ana Paula Rodrigues Spinola to complete each look. With a range of international Designers, Stylists and Jewellery Designers, the Catwalk saw a wide range of models, and special international guests differing in height, size and age; a refreshingly diverse show, there was certainly something for everyone.
