This prestigious event is organized and supported by the Oriental Fashion Show, presided over by Hind Joudar, in partnership with M Avenue, the must-see lifestyle destination in Marrakech imagined and developed by the charismatic Nabil Slitine.

This strong partnership between two personalities engaged in the service of the Kingdom’s and the guarantee of a strong and long-lasting implantation.

This event, which has existed since 2017, has taken root in Marrakech and has become an unmissable event.

For a few exceptional days, the Ochre city will shine and become the international capital of fashion, thus reviving its tradition as a temple of creativity.

In the setting of M Avenue and Meydene, a series of 11 fashion shows of confirmed designers and young talents will follow one another to enchant the public with their creations.

A contest is organized in partnership with the fashion schools: Ateliers Chardon Savard (Paris), Escom bel (Fez) and Academia Moda de Nazareth, under the attentive eye of a jury of great value persons such as Said Mahrouf (designer), Christophe Guillarmé, (designer), Saher Okal (designer), Olfi Yasmina (Fashion Mintea), influencer, Khadija Dénia (Journalist, My luxury Life), Marzio Nocera (Fashion Channel), Angela Donova (Journalist), the winner will participate to the next edition of the Oriental Fashion Show in Paris.

DESIGNERS

CHRISTOPHE GUILLARME ( FRANCE)

Christophe Guillarmé passed his degree at the College of Applied Arts Duperré. He initiated a fashion artistic approach and gave birth to a collaboration with an artist making his first fashion show a real artistic installation.Christophe Guillarmé has had various experiences with Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Dice Kayek and Stella Cadente before launching his first collection as a young fashion designer in1998.

For his Fall-Winter 2023 collection, French designer Christophe Guillarmé wanted to pay tribute to Mae West aka Mary Jane West, a free and glam artist of the 1920s from Brooklyn.

A voluptuous icon of surrealism thanks to Dali, the famous Lips sofa is reinterpreted draped in burgundy taffeta. Mermaid gowns in beige tulle embroidered with cabochons or fringes of golden sequins emphasizing necklines claim the music hall spirit. La Dolce Vita is radicalized with tuxedos enhanced with feathers. Transparencies of soft pink tulle sprinkled with crystals and extravagant embroidery complete this dreamlike and burlesque vision. Maxi dresses in crumpled tulle reveal the audacity of this first muse of glamour.A sulfurous diva without self-censorship and an unbridled style.

HANUM AIDASH (KAZAKHSTAN)

The idea of “Kumdagy Izder” (eng. Footprints on a sand) collection was born during the trip of Hanum Aidash to Kyzyl-Orda. She was inspired by the nature and a charm of the vast deserts of her homeland. The wild and natural grace of the region have created the emotional foundation on which the new collection of “S&S fashion Hanum Collection” was born.

During the creation process of the new collection “Kumdagy Izder” Hanum Aidash used bright colours of sun, grass and the sky.

Main colours of the new collection of Hanum Aidash – shades of dark blue with the key expressive elements: sequins and rhinestones.

The “Kumdagy Izder” collection consists of 16 sets. Astonishing evening dresses and Jackets complemented by a variety of shimmering effects. The purpose of the show: By showing the new collection “Kumdagy Izder” Hanum Aidash calls on everyone to take care of nature and inspire people to preserve and protect the wildlife.

MARINE : MARYAM HIMER (MOROCCO)

Maryam Couture’s story begins with Marine’s conversion to Islam on November 9, 2021 in Mohammedia. This project, which is particularly close to her heart, bears her Muslim first name: Maryam.

Her religion, its foundations and its practice have necessarily had a strong and impactful impact on her professional and personal orientations.

Indeed, she has since moved away from the sphere of reality TV which revealed her to the general public, to make herself known thanks to projects which reflect the young woman she has become, carrying her values, her principles and her new philosophy of life.Nowadays, she works on a line of Abayas which will breathe new life into this outfit, a collection dedicated to women wishing to cover themselves while remaining elegant, feminine and refined. A garment that is both comfortable and sophisticated.

Maryam’s vocation is to modernize the image of the Abaya while preserving its authentic and traditional side which is so dear to her.

GABARI (MOROCCO)

Daughter of a seamstress, granddaughter of a seamstress, and daughter-in-law of a seamstress, Ghita Arbouch was predestined to become a stylist herself, so great is her love for fashion and its colors, as well as for fabrics and materials. This family heritage will lead her on the path of independence and creativity.

She obtained a scientific BAC with honors in 2013, then began a 3-year cycle of studies at Lasalle College until 2016. In 2018, after having done various internships during the 2 years preceding, she created GABARI, a brand luxurious, happy marriage of a traditional know-how, with what it takes of modernity.

ZINEB HAZIM (ITALY)

Zineb Hazim is of Moroccan origin and Italian nationality. She is the creative director of the ZHZineb Hazim brand born in 2019. Hazim, embodies a Muslim woman committed to the fight against stereotypes who started wearing the hijab as a teenager and then affirmed it as a style and a cultural statement.Last year, after graduating from the Burgo Fashion Institute, she found success with her first collection, thanks to the support of AFW, the Italian National Fashion Chamber and Vogue Italy .She wants to offer a certain type of clothing for Muslim women by maintaining certain requirements. She represents the emancipation of the Western Arab woman through her new collection, 22/23. she gave it the name “Abaya street couture”; inspired by the style of Arab queens and princesses, like” the princess of Morocco Lalla Salma”, or even” the queen of Jordan, Rania”; and so many others…

The goal was to offer them clothes reflecting their culture, with a breath of modernity and a very marked fashion side. She developed a range of abayas, using fabrics such as, tweed, denim, cotton jersey, sequins added to other embellishments. It is an extremely elegant and sensitive collection paying homage to femininity with delicacy and respect that knows how to move us. She also presented it at the first “Morocco Fashion Week” last June in Marrakech , and was acclaimed by an international press and a charmed public.

AZIZA BELKHAYAT

In 1989, I founded ESCOM, a school of fashion design and traditional tailoring whose mission is to transmit art and know-how that will allow the Moroccan Caftan to progress without losing its identity. In November 2019 and in an associative framework, the association “Jnane El Caftan” was born in a magical place in the medina of Fez which gathers all the craftsmen around the traditional sewing

Since 2020 Escom bel offers an online teaching.

ADRIAN SAS – ATELIER CHARDON SAVARD (FRANCE)

21-year-old Franco-Romanian designer, from a literary education and an artistic specialty subsequently developed through studies in fashion design.His dual Franco-Romanian culture has forged his creative identity through literary and historical inspirations, fashion details and sometimes forgotten looks from the past, but also cultural and ethnic, through prints, embroidery and cuts.During this year of Master at Atelier Chardon Savard, the affirmation of his stylistic identity, and the image of his brand are his main missions.

ACCADEMIA DI MODA (NAZARETH) – SAHER OKAL

Founded by Saher Okal, a native of Palestine, is a fashion designer who studied in Italy and worked in costume design for theatre and opera. He practiced fashion design at the Saher Okal workshop in Nazareth until 2022. One of Saher’s most notable achievements was winning the title of Project Runway Middle Eastern 2018 under the supervision of ELIE SAAB and MBC tv. Among Saher’s most important works is the creation of the first private Arab school to teach fashion design in his home country, Nazareth. Academia de Moda was founded in 2014 on confident steps to change the concept of fashion in Palestinian society. The most important objectives of Accademia di Moda, are the dissemination of science and knowledge, and the opening of new fields of work for its teachers and students.

Nine years after the creation of Accademia di Moda the results of its success have started to appear through the website and the academy’s magazine for the sale of the students’ creations. The students participate in fashion shows and competitions, and some of the students specialise in evening wear and haute couture. In this way, the academy has been able to develop the concept of fashion design and haute couture and present it in society.

Nora Squalli was educated at ESCOM and obtained her diploma in styling and model making with distinction and created “Nora Squalli Zazz Couture”.

OMRI ELYAN (PALESTINE)

Omri Elyan, is a Palestinian fashion designer from Shfaram in the Galilee. With 13 years of experience in men’s clothing design, he is considered the first designer of men’s clothing in Palestine.

Omri launches different collections every season that carry special inspiration and designs, merging the traditional oriental character with the modern one.The designer styled many Palestinian artists, media and political figures for many years and he accompanied the Arab super star, Mohamed Assaf, in all his occasions. Omri Elyan will launch “ The Oriental Soul”, his new Spring Summer 2023 collection in Paris-France during PARIS fashion week.

SALMA LAZRAK(MOROCCO)

A graduate in law and finance, Salma Lazrak turned to fashion design to devote herself to her first passion. “From a very young age, fashion, caftans and creation have been at the center of my life. So it was only natural to strengthen my ties with this passion that has always driven me”. Additional training in interior design completes her career and allows her to create small collections in limited series… and unique pieces. Her goal: to allow women to feel beautiful and confident in caftans that sublimate them.

Located in the Sidi Ghanem district, his workshop and showroom are full of inspiration and creativity. It collaborates with local craftsmen to promote exceptional know-how.
