The MASHAMA AUTUMN/WINTER 2021 collection extends the brand’s new design direction which reflects the unique gender-fluid and characteristics through fine handwork to decorative and structural silhouettes. The deconstruction draping silhouette echoes the body-fitted cut. Its asymmetrical tailored hem, high-density custom-made hollow embroidery and Belgian lace, romantic pleats, petal-like draped collars and shoulder, fringed-knits double-layered lapels flow like scarf. The combination of lime, moss green, foggy white, jet black among other Asian palettes outlines a new image of modern women. The ribbon heart with pearl satellite earrings and the pearl logo double buckle hairpin are the highlights of this season’s accessories, appear on both shoes and bags.
This season, Ma made extensive use of textiles from Italian luxury supplier BONOTTO, designed by special customized patterns. The virgin wool mixed with mohair and alpaca outlines the exclusive design of “Rebirth Feather”, which runs through the whole line of warm and sensual products in winter. Through special processing, the stinging touch of wool is greatly reduced, therefore the warmth of natural wool can be felt when wearing, comfortable and skin-friendly, with a defined texture.
A variety of jacquard techniques are applied on the basis of natural fabrics. Deconstruction of the fibers pair with oriental colors, combining different yarn materials through weaving, as the natural fabrics and Asian elements complement each other.
