“Inspired by American party dresses, rooted in the 1980s, but totally reimagined, chopped up and rebirthed, almost engulfing the wearers in a cacophony of monstrous beauty, these characters stand tall and defiant in the world of my making, reading Stephen King and watching David Lynch. This is a fantasy lucid dream of America; scratch the surface and there is something darker underneath. Each look becomes a sculpture, having been worked and worked upon, the elements of craft pushed to beyond my usual extreme.” Matty Bovan

Matty Bovan shares his creative process for this collection in a new film short, titled “XV” after the designer’s fifteenth collection, showcasing the parallels between his process of artisanship and the distillation processes of Tanqueray No. TEN, whose ‘Tiny Ten’ cocktail, named after the still from the first distillation process, exclusively appears on the menu at Bistrotheque for the duration of London Fashion Week.
