A journey through the 1980s and Moroccan influences for Winter 2025 Haute Couture

The second edition of Rome Fashion Show at Haute Couture, held at the Salone delle Colonne in Rome’s EUR district, featured designer Michele Miglionico, who presented his new Haute Couture collection for Winter 2025, bringing 18 looks for day, cocktail, and evening wear to the runway.

Inspired by 1980s couture, the collection reinterprets volumes and lines in a contemporary key, alternating peacoats with crisp taffeta trousers and embroidered above-the-knee skirts.

For evening, silk muslin and georgette were worked with gold lurex fil coupé threads, while wool lace—a tribute to the designer’s Lucanian roots—lent a unique material intensity. The color palette was inspired by the hues of Marrakech: the intense red of sand and sunsets, the brilliant gold of handcrafted jewelry, and the vibrant green of spices.
